With a wide variety of tufting gauges and over 50 years of experience, we are more than capable of producing the perfect surface for you, whether that be for domestic carpets, sports surfaces or landscape applications.

Sports & Play Surfaces

At Leigh Spinners, we manufacture 1150gsm velour play surfaces in a range of 15 different colours, which can be seen below.

We manufacture these surfaces exclusively for Notts Sports, in particular, their ChildsPlay surfacing systems which have been installed in a number of playgrounds in locations across the globe.
Artificial Bowling Surfaces

The benefits of a synthetic bowling green should not be underestimated. Not only do artificial bowling surfaces provide you with an all-year-round facility, these low-maintenance surfaces mean you won’t have to pay greenkeeper fees throughout the year.

Furthermore, the artificial bowling surfaces we manufacture here in the UK are fast-draining, meaning that even after a heavy rain shower you can be sure that your bowling events won’t fall foul of the weather.

Commission Backing, Tufting & Technical Felts

We provide a carpet backing service for the likes of Cormar, Abingdon and Cavalier Carpets to name a few who take advantage of our 'double oven' drying procedure, making a stronger, more reliable backing.
​
A number of companies, like Verde, Notts Sport and Sterling Turf use our tufting service if they need a specific type of grass that for a project.
​
We manufacture a wide range of technical felts from geotextiles for sports pitches, underlays for landscape turf and shock pads for use under cricket wickets, to felt bases for artificial ski runs and children’s playmats for Total Play and Briton Engineering.
Commission Grasses
As a manufacturer, we can produce 'any' grass, manufactured to any specification. These are our 'current' grasses based on feedback from customers and installers, so we keep up with what's on trend.

They may change from time to time if the marketplace dictates but that said, as long as the quantity is large enough, we can provide a Commission Tufting service to manufacture any grass.
